Zoom call July 18, 2020 - COMMENTS

Hi Amin,

A heartfelt thank you for organizing the zoom call this morning.  It was wonderful to connect with the long lost friends, especially those I had not seen in umpteen years.  Your time and effort in organizing this call definitely did not go to waste, as far as I am concerned.  It was heartening to see how well our classmates have done during their lifetime.  It was even nice that some of the spouses dropped by to say hello.

Take care, stay safe and connected.

Dear Classmates,

It was wonderful to connect and see you all after so many years and to catch up on our last 55 years. What we have achieved these past 55 years would have made our teachers proud.

My apologies for not staying on till the end. I had some pressing matters to take care of - my grandchildren.

Please stay in touch, stay safe and healthy and hopefully we can meet in person in 2022.

Amin, you have done a magnificent job of connecting us through the website and now the Zoom chat.

Dear Amin,  and all classmates.

It was wonderful to connect with everyone on the call.   My apologies for leaving at 3.15pm--had another call  at 3pm I had to take.

Thank you for making the time and effort  especially in the strange time we have been living in.  Hopefully this will pass and we will reconnect again.

Many thanks Amin Mawji for arranging the zoom call and for the website.

Best wishes and prayers for all during the coming days and months.  Please stay in touch, safe and healthy.

Dear friends,

Thank you for taking the time to meet. It was a pleasure seeing you all after more than half a lifetime. Please accept my apologies for my abrupt departure towards the end- I had forgotten lunch for my mother! She is 94 and lives with us.

We must do this at least twice a year- if not more; and I am looking forward to visiting Mombasa (and Zanzibar?) with you all in 2022. Having been born and lived there for the first 16 years of our lives (the most important years in terms of our development) the place at that time is bred in our bones. A pilgrimage is necessary. A last visit to say goodbye to the place. And, also, who knows about 2027?

Thank you again. Best wishes and warm regards till we meet again. Go with God.

Sincerely,

al-noor Vellani

PS: Amin, very many thanks for your effort, not only for the ZOOM; but also for keeping us connected via the WEBSITE. The contact information in there- is it updated? Can we all update please if not?
